Hello, I'm Jim Chance
I'm pleased that you've landed on my profile page. I am currently serving as a Township Supervisor and have lived in East Marlborough Township with my wife Beth since 2016.
Currently, I am an IT Consultant for the U.S. Army Materiel Command. In the past I worked as a manager for both Computer Sciences Corporation and E.I. DuPont Corporation. During my time at DuPont, I was able to take advantage of their extensive Management Training Programs, which included a thorough education in topics such as project management principles, facilitation, meeting design, and leadership skills. I also previously served as an employee of Bucknell University, supporting professors and students with their IT problems, and teaching Introductory Computer Sciences.

I hold a Master’s degrees in Computer Sciences at University of Southern Maine, and a second Master's degree in Biology/Environmental Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. My Master’s degree in biology allowed me to do research under pioneering ecologist Dr. Ruth Patrick at both the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia and Stroud Water Research Center in Avondale PA. My time living and doing research at Stroud gave me a full appreciation of how effective land management strategies can significantly improve water quality and lead to a healthier environment.
